What pipe sizes, wall thicknesses, and materials can the GR-198 weld?
The GR-198 is designed for pipes with an outside diameter of 198 mm or larger. Each pipe diameter requires a customized guide track manufactured according to the actual pipe dimensions. The standard configuration is suitable for wall thicknesses of approximately 5–30 mm and can be used for carbon steel, and other compatible alloys after the welding procedure has been verified.
Which welding parameters can be adjusted and stored?
Operators can adjust travel speed, wire-feed speed, oscillation width, oscillation frequency, welding voltage, welding current, torch angle, stick-out, and torch position. The controller can store up to approximately 100 welding parameter programs, allowing validated settings to be recalled and reused for repeat production.
Which welding wires and shielding gases are compatible with the GR-198?
The GR-198 supports both solid and flux-cored welding wires, with standard wire diameters ranging from 0.8 to 1.2 mm. Shielding gas should be selected according to the base material, welding wire, and qualified welding procedure. Typical options include CO₂ and argon-based mixed gases.
